Property Barristers in London

The Property barristers at 11 Stone Buildings in London, also known as property lawyers, make up one of our main practice groups. We have individual barristers experienced in all areas of real property and landlord and tenant.

We offer direct access to our property barristers as some have undertaken public access training. The traditional method of instructing a barrister through solicitors remains an option but, by virtue of their training, some members of our Chambers can accept instructions direct from members of the public.

All the members of our property group would be delighted to assist with issues such as real property, including trusts of land, co-ownership disputes, issues concerning land registration, easements, restrictive covenants, mortgages and options.  In addition we can help with landlord and tenant, both commercial and residential, including claims under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954, the Rent Acts, the Housing Act 1988, leasehold enfranchisement, possession claims.

Our property barristers regularly appear in the county court and High Court on property matters, as well as in Leasehold Valuation Tribunals, the Lands Tribunal and before the Adjudicator to the Land Registry (who was himself a former member of Chambers).

A particular strength of the property team is the capacity to lend wider experience to disputes that simultaneously involve different areas of law, for example where a property dispute arises in the context of insolvency or involves fraud.
