Second respected silk joins 11 Stone Buildings in less than 6 months

11 Stone Buildings is delighted to announce that Lexa Hilliard QC joined as a member of Chambers.

As a well-respected commercial chancery silk, Lexa perfectly complements Chambers' expertise in the areas of company / insolvency, general commercial litigation, banking, professional negligence and civil fraud. Over the years Chambers UK has recommended Lexa Hilliard QC as a "wonderful advocate who is great to work with" and a "high hitter favoured for her tough and persuasive advocacy style". Recent reported cases include Alitalia Linee Aeree Italiane Spa, D/S Norden A/S v Samsun Logix Corporation, Buncefield, Farepak Food and Goods Ltd and Madoff Securities International.

Lexa has practised from 3-4 South Square since 1990. Prior to that, she lectured in law at Durham University and was part of the in-house legal team at Lloyds Bank Plc. She was appointed Queen's Counsel in 2009 and is a CEDR accredited mediator.

Lexa is the second silk to join 11 Stone Buildings in less than 6 months following Jeremy Cousins QC's arrival last December, confirming the set's strong position in the market.

Edward Cohen, Head of Chambers at 11 Stone Buildings said: "We are delighted that Lexa is joining our chambers as her outstanding ability and breadth of experience will further enhance our reputation as a leading commercial / chancery set."

Lexa Hilliard QC added: "11 Stone Buildings has a very sound reputation in my practice areas of insolvency, company, general commercial litigation and civil fraud. It is extremely exciting to be part of their ever greater presence in these fields."
