Alan Gourgey QC acted for the Defendants. This litigation followed from a Judgment for $103 million that Komercini Bank obtained against Stone & Rolls and against SR and Zvonko Stojevic. Alan acted for MCI in its defence of a claim by the liquidators of Stone & Rolls to recover monies from MCI on the basis that they represent the proceeds of transfers at an undervalue or were payable in debt. The case involved a series of dealings involving companies which the Judge found to be beneficially owned by Mr Stojevic. Despite adverse findings in the earlier proceedings as to Mr Stojevic's honesty, the Judge dismissed the claim.
