Peter has a commercial/chancery practice with particular experience in the following areas:
- Commercial fraud: sham transactions, trust-busting, freezing injunctions, Norwich Pharmacal orders
- Commercial litigation: contractual disputes, construction disputes, conflict of laws, arbitration
- Banking and finance: misrepresentation, undue influence, unfair relationships, breach of mandate, guarantees, possession claims
- Corporate insolvency: winding up, administration, transaction avoidance
- Personal insolvency: applications to set aside statutory demands, bankruptcy petitions, realisation of the matrimonial home, annulment
Peter read Music and English at Cambridge before becoming a professional actor. Subsequently he studied the GDL (distinction) and BVC (outstanding). He came first in his year on the BVC in drafting and evidence, and won the Lincoln's Inn mooting competition. Lincoln's Inn also awarded him Mansfield, Hardwicke and Eastham scholarships, and the Buchanan Prize.
