David practises in all areas of commercial chancery litigation with a particular emphasis on insolvency and property. In addition to his expertise in all aspects of real estate litigation (including landlord and tenant) as well as corporate and personal insolvency, David's experience encompasses commercial litigation, partnership disputes, professional negligence and regulatory work. He is frequently instructed in the High Court, county court and various tribunals. Clients appreciate his prompt responses and down-to-earth approach. Recent cases include acting for a tenant in a multi-million pound dilapidations claim, successfully representing Natwest and RBS at the trial of their respective guarantee and mortgage claims and acting for a property developer's claim for professional negligence against his former solicitors.
While studying law, David was awarded the prestigious Tancred Studentship from Lincoln's Inn in 2001 as well as winning three other scholarships.
David was elected to the Bar Council in 2008. He is currently Chairman of the Young Barristers' Committee for 2012 as well as Vice-President of the European Young Bar Association for 2012-2013. He is also a trustee of the North Kensington Law Centre which provides a free and independent specialist legal service to the community.

Together with other members of Chambers' insolvency team, David contributes bi-monthly case law updates to Corporate Rescue and Insolvency, published by Lexis Nexis. On a regular basis, David speaks at in-house seminars and writes articles on topical issues in his specialist areas of law.
